Athlete and Parent/Guardian Safety Policy

Last updated: October 17, 2026 · Version 2026-10-17

Draft for qualified legal review. These policies do not establish full legal compliance or protection from lawsuits.

Age and privacy

Athletes of any age may publish a profile. Athletes under 16 see safety guidance before publishing and should involve a parent or guardian; ages 16–17 should also involve a parent or guardian. The age confirmation and optional birth date are not independently verified age assurance. Do not publish home addresses, private contact details, live location, student IDs or sensitive documents.

Guardian connections

Athlete-approved connections record a claimed relationship only; they are not verified parental consent and do not grant profile editing. Verified consent and guardian delegation remain unavailable pending an appropriate verification process and specialist legal advice. Parents can request correction, restriction or removal through support.

Adult contact restrictions

New dedicated coach inquiries require a confirmed adult birth date and current policy acknowledgment. Inquiries to minors or athletes with unknown age are blocked until a verified guardian-consent workflow exists. Existing messages and off-site contact are not automatically supervised.

Prohibited harm and escalation

Grooming, exploitation, sexual solicitation, bullying, harassment and inappropriate contact with minors are prohibited. Report urgent safety concerns using the safety category. Administrators can escalate, restrict content or remove accounts. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; this site is not an emergency service and does not promise response times.
